Virtually at every presentation conducted by SHORES MDS the question is asked "how does your service save us money and how much does the service cost".

To answer the first question if we had a chrystal ball we would probably not be in the dimensional control business however based on historical information each client should look at the true cost of rework on past projects. I would also advise the team member to look at traditional measurement costs.

SHORES MDS does not need:

• Scaffolding built
• Man lifts
• Multiple personnel onsite (single person operated equipment)
• Insulation removed (except at tie point locations)
• Unlike laser scanning companies we do not need a 3rd part engineering company to utilize our data to generate drawings

We will also save the project money by:

• Eliminating all (but necessary) field welds
• Reducing onsite activities (additional site personnel and services such as NDE and painting)
• Preventing fabrication rework costs

Lump Sum

On most cases where the work scope is known and factors can be controlled SHORES MDS can lump sum estimate a project.

Per Spool Rate

Spool verification can be estimated based on each spool surveyed. This allows cost estimates to be controlled based on the number of spools on a project.

Composite Rate

Through years of execution experience, SHORES MDS has developed a composite rate based on the number of welds on a project. This rate applies to large replace in kind projects where the work scope may not necessarily be fully known and our client wants to control their budget. Based on the work package a rate can be calculated prior to execution.
